Most Pets Dont Understand what we ask of them

Most dogs dont understand what we require of them as they never been taught in a proper, positive way.  Mostly they try to please us and sometimes tell us something is wrong with their incorrect behavior.  This is sadly sometimes seen as a "bad" or "unruly" dog - but dogs dont share the same "negative" emotions like humans have. All they want to do is please us and love us and sometimes they do things that we perceive as "naughty" or "spiteful" but dogs are incapable of expressing these emotions.

Why is Training SO Important

In a nutshell, good puppy socializing classes:
 ·        Teach dogs to “think” a new situation through
·        Polish their canine communication skills
·        Enhance human bonding
·        Provide a wonderful opportunity to burn off “puppy energy” constructively, and
·        Give owners a better understanding of their puppies.

Home Consultations:
Behaviour problems such as destructiveness, digging, excessive barking, indoor soiling, aggression, nervousness, disobedience, phobias and tail-chasing are understood, prevented or modified by determining the causes, meeting the needs of the animal/s, correcting communication patterns and modifying the behaviour using a combination of practical advice, positive reinforcement, pack psychology, calming signals and touch therapy.

We only use Positive Reinforcement Methods

Training Your Dog With Rewards And Positive Reinforcement. Positive reinforcement dog training, also referred to as force-free, reward-based, or clicker training, is a method that focuses on telling your dog when he is correct, instead of only pointing out what is incorrect.

In operant conditioning,
positive reinforcement involves the addition of a reinforcing stimulus following a behavior that makes it more likely that the behavior will occur again in the future. When a favorable outcome, event, or reward occurs after an action, that particular response or behavior will be strengthened.
